Introduction to PrimeTech (Leics)
PrimeTech is a new company born from the frustration that schools have when obtaining independent
professional advice for ICT.
I, Tony Miles, the founder of PrimeTech, have been involved on a professional basis in IT since 1992 and have
worked part time for Leicestershire County Council from the year 2000 until 2009.
My previous roles in ICT have been in non linear video editing and digital image/audio manipulation.
I have also specified, built and configured computers for digital image/audio manipulation and sold mainly to the
video industry.
This has since moved on, to incorporate video streaming, networking and setting up school radio stations.
Recent years have seen me move into network design and integration as well as server commissioning and
training/consultancy.
I aim to offer schools impartial advice on their current and future ICT strategies and investments, as well as
project managing new installations from conception to completion. This will equate to an easier life for
you as you will have a system tailored made system designed around your school.
Value for money is paramount as well as remaining impartial. I can help with obtaining the required three quotes.
I will not sell you hardware, so you choose where to spend your money.
With my proven experience in this sector gained over a number of years, you can be assured that any
implementation or advice will be carried out in a recommended and acceptable way. School endorsments
are available upon request.
My Role within Leicestershire County Council
My first role within LCC was to implement the NGFL scheme which involved the installation of the RM ISDN
internet connection and the RM SchoolShare computers. Over time I have implemented the migration onto
EMBC as well as troubleshooting school systems and helping with designing their network infrastucture.
I left the council in 2009 due to an increase in demand from Primary schools for my services
